YOOM™ tomato
We rise to the needs of consumers around the world to keep our growers competitive. For example, our award-winning dark purple YOOM™ tomato contains higher levels of anthocyanins, vitamins and minerals compared to other tomatoes and has a long-lasting umami taste.
These features make it a favorite with growers, retailers and consumers.

iStem cauliflower
Our no-waste iStem cauliflower was recently awarded bronze in Fruit Logistica’s 2022 Innovation Awards. It’s the world’s first edible stem cauliflower, has high yields, and appeals to consumers with its sweet, nutty curds, high fiber, and immune-boosting vitamin C.
It can also be eaten whole with no preparation – reducing food waste.

Angello seedless pepper
Our novel Angello seedless snacking pepper, developed to address consumer preferences for convenience, was awarded the Gold Innovation Award at Fruit Logistica.
Angello is the first pepper consumers can enjoy as a snack without having to cut or remove its seed.
A faster route to market

We invest in technology
Of course, bringing new products to market doesn’t happen overnight. It can take up to 13 years to make sure new seeds can be used safely and sustainably.
Our investment in technology has been designed to speed up this process; for example, our climate-controlled growth chambers can reduce the breeding cycle from as much as eight years to as little as two.

Farming never stops evolving
With such wide diversity across the germplasm pool, we can cross-reference innovations across a range of different varieties and products. This helps us speed up the development of new solutions.
In fact, we’re working on hundreds of breeding programmes right now – and there are more in the pipeline. Farming never stops evolving, so neither do we. It can also be eaten whole with no preparation – reducing food waste.
