In support of the UN’s International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF) 2026, Syngenta Vegetable Seeds is helping raise awareness and recognition of the vital economic, social, and developmental contributions women farmers make across agrifood systems.

We’re inviting women in agriculture – especially women farmers – as well as allies and supporters to submit stories about how you’re empowering women farmers and strengthening opportunities for women across the value chain.

Our goal is to spotlight real people and real progress—sharing human stories that show how women farmers and those who work alongside them are strengthening communities and food systems.

Women farmers—including those doing unpaid work at home to support the household—contribute across the full value chain, from crop production, livestock, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture to processing, value addition, distribution, and trade. Their work is central to food security, improved nutrition, and poverty reduction.

Through IYWF 2026, Syngenta is amplifying stories that demonstrate how empowering women farmers can:

Submission Terms and Conditions

Eligibility and Consent: Participants must be at least 18 years of age to submit stories or media. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete and submit the form on your behalf and provide documented consent for your participation. By submitting your story and any accompanying media, you affirm that you meet these eligibility requirements and agree to all terms set forth below.

Use of Submissions and Media Release: By submitting your story, photographs, videos, and/or quotes (“Media”), you grant Syngenta and its affiliates, employees, agents, and contractors (“Representatives”) the absolute, irrevocable, and perpetual right and permission to use, re-use, publish, and re-publish your submission and Media, in whole or in part, with or without changes or alterations, individually or in conjunction with other materials, in any medium or form of distribution worldwide, and for any purpose whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to, editorial, promotional, advertising, internal and external communications, website, social media, email, live in-person displays, and trade purposes for Syngenta and its websites. You acknowledge and agree that all Media and any associated digital copies, negatives, disks, or tapes become the sole property of Syngenta. You release and discharge Syngenta and its Representatives from any and all claims and demands arising out of the use of such Media. Submission of content does not guarantee its publication or use; selection is at Syngenta’s sole discretion.

Editing, Selection, and Compensation: Syngenta reserves the right to edit, adapt, modify, or translate any submission for clarity, length, or suitability for publication, while making reasonable efforts to preserve the original intent. No compensation or remuneration will be provided for any submission, regardless of whether it is selected or used.

Data Privacy and Personal Information: By submitting your story and any accompanying Media, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data by Syngenta and its affiliates for the purposes of this campaign, in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Syngenta’s privacy policy. Your data may be used for campaign communications, promotional activities, and related purposes. For more information on how your data is handled, please refer to Syngenta’s Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property and Third-Party Rights: By submitting your story and Media, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the original creator of all submitted content; (b) you have obtained all necessary rights, permissions, and releases from any third parties appearing in or contributing to the Media; and (c) your submission does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Syngenta, its affiliates, and Representatives from any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to any breach of these representations and warranties or any claims that your submission infringes any third-party rights.

Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Syngenta and its Representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your participation in this campaign or the use of your submission, regardless of the form of action or theory of liability. Syngenta’s total aggregate liability, if any, shall not exceed USD $100.

Acceptance of Terms: By submitting your story and Media, you certify that you have read, understood, and agree to these Submission Terms and Conditions, including the authorization, release, and agreement set forth above. Your acceptance of these terms is required for participation in the International Year of Woman Farmer 2026 campaign.

Governing Law: These Submission Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina.^*
