Newsletter | Tomato | Week 9 - 2026 | Syngenta

Just like in previous years, Tomato Vision is packed with new tomato varieties

Just like in previous years, Tomato Vision, Syngenta's tomato demonstration and meeting place for all links in the fresh tomato supply chain, is brimming with new tomato varieties. With a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colours, all boasting high quality and ToBRFV resistance. In this newsletter, we'll highlight a few of them.

Delistar (TIAM24-5069), the plum cherry truss tomato that combines taste, quality and production in an attractive form

With Delistar, Syngenta is bringing a highly interesting variety to the plum cherry truss segment. Delistar can be grown very well under both natural and artificial light, with consistently high quality. Its high production and excellent flavor (Brix above 9) are characterized by its distinctive, consistent fruit shape. Delistar's beautiful red fruits have a shape reminiscent of a strawberry or a tiny bell pepper. They are deliciously sweet and juicy, have an average fruit weight of 22-24g, are beautifully attached to the truss, and have a good shelf life. The strong, vigorous plant type with easy, good fruit set ensures high production. Delistar is suitable for both truss and individual harvesting.
